I'm applying paper backed veneer to mdf coated plywood with poly backer. I have processed 12 sheets with different results. The panels cup or bow in different directions. I've tried using tidebond, and betterbond cold press glue. I don't get it. I think the mmoisture content in the glue is to much for the ply to stabilize in the press. Could it be that the glue is not the right glue. This brings me to my question. What is the right glue to use to laminate paper backed veneers in a vacumm press. Thanks Dave

Hey David,
I just joined the group and saw your post. If you haven't already solved you glue issue, try using Unibond 800. It's a resin based veneer glue. You'll find it at Vacumm Pressing Systems.com. I use yellow glue a lot when I'm pressed for time but it does have a lot of moisture to it that will bow up my panel if I don't back-up both sides. I do mostly solid wood veneer but I know Unibond works for paper back as well. Good luck
