Cabinet shop's Krispy Kreme bus project makes it to Wall Street

Many people were intrigued by the story we did in the April 2012 issue of CabinetMakerFDM describing the work McGrew Woodworking did on the interior for a custom Krispy Kreme bus. Now Jim McGrew tells me the bus has made it all the way to Wall Street to help ring the closing bell on the New York Stock Exchange as part of a nationwide tour. You can watch a video here. But as much as Jim is enjoying the publicity the project has generated, it is bittersweet. He had involved students from a local high school cabinetmaking program in the project, but the school officials shut down the program before the students could enjoy the publicity. There is information about that, too, in the April story. Read it on line.
