This video is featuring one of the several solutions that Italpresse have developped accordingly with the customer's needs for the automatic composition of residential doors.
Both the upper and bottom doorskins pass through a glue spreader applying the glue only on the bottom side.
The core panels (particleboards previously stapled with solid wood frame) are stacked on top of a scissors lift and fed by a pushing arm.
The bottom doorskin is flipped upside down and moves to the lay-up station.
The core is then picked up by a gantry device and positioned on top of the bottom skin.
The upper doorskin is moved forward, lifted by a rail support and consequently laid down on top of the previously positioned core.
The composed sandwich is then forwarded into the press.
